The Buffalo Sabres finished 30th in the NHL and are not expected to be greatly improved next season, but that is not stopping the organization from increasing season ticket prices for 2014-15.
According to Buffalo Business First Wednesday, the club will increase raise the price of tickets by four percent due to rising operational costs and benchmarks for NHL revenue sharing.
The price increase will equal to a $1 hike per game for season seat holders in the 300 level and up to $4 per game for 100 and 200 club levels. Click here for new price levels.
“We are grateful to our fans for their incredible loyalty and patience through a challenging season,… said Sabres president Ted Black in a statement released on the club’s website. “It’s important to us to balance the affordability of our tickets against the opportunity to qualify for League revenue sharing.…
Season ticket holders will get an increase of the rebate on their SabreBucks cards from 4% to 6.5%, if they renew their tickets by June 23.
“To show our appreciation for our loyal Season Ticket Holders, we’re pleased to offer an additional 4% rebate along with the other benefits that they have enjoyed for years,… said Sabres VP of Tickets and Services John Sinclair. “We feel this additional rebate will not only mitigate the effects of the price increase, but also provide our Season Ticket Holders with a significant benefit and opportunity to experience HARBORCENTER during its inaugural season.
