I hope everyone is ready for today's game against Detroit. By that, I mean, I hope you're wearing shades for this one.
The Sabres will debut their yellow jerseys for the first of 10 games this season. There still seems to be some skeptics out there that believe the social media release was a joke...I hope that's true but it looks like these are going to be worn.
They look like practice jerseys to me and I can't believe the organization decided that these would be okay to wear. Creating a yellow jersey is very risky and they often don't look that great. I honestly don't think these jerseys will last very long, and maybe we see new ones again in a few years.
A year ago, who would have thought that Lindy Ruff would be coaching a team with green jerseys and Ted Nolan coaching one with yellow...crazy.

With Jimmy Howard getting a rest and Pavel Datsyuk out for today, that makes things a tad easier for Buffalo, but still, the Sabres will have their hands full.
