The Habs are now down 2-0 to the NYR and heading to NY for game 3. For Islanders fans who have been without a horse in this race since oh…. March… we just sit on the sidelines and watch.
Last night’s game offered some additional entertainment, especially for me as I was against the Thomas Vanek trade from the get-go. The 30-year-old has 15 points in 18 regular season games with the Habs, which isn’t bad, but….in 13 post season games, he has only 8 points and 22 shots on net and is a -3. His 11:41 of ice time last night was a boon for Twitter and fodder for Don Cherry, but his slashing penalty just added fuel to the fire as everyone on the net piled on Vanek.
