I'm in Pittsburgh today attending the War On Ice analytics conference (live blogging from an analytics conference!)
Some really interesting stuff has been presented that I'll touch on in the future after I have time to digest it.
I'm also heading to Erie to take in an Otters game tonight.
As a result of how busy today is I'll make this post short and sweet.
Penguins getting Beau Bennett back next week is much needed. The even strength quality of play hasn't been good enough.
Lots of red bubbles here. Coach Johnston realizes this and has hedged his bets with the Crosby line. He is putting them out against weaker competition in order to maximize results. So far so good for the Crosby line, everything else could use a little help.
When Beau gets back stick him with Malkin and Dupuis and allow Comeau to take a spot on the third line for Spaling. The trickle down effect should help out the Penguins at even strength.
