Last night at the United Center, the Blackhawks snapped a string of lackluster outings, rose up and played their game in defeating Anaheim 3-2. in regulation no less. These are the types of games and efforts this team has put up the last couple of years when backed into a corner or being questioned.
First star Marian Hossa continues to look as good or better than he ever has in a Hawk uniform. The Hawks were strong all over the ice, winning face-offs 56-44% and outshooting the Ducks 35-21.
But the hits just keep on coming.
Up next, Sunday at 12:30 Eastern/11:30 Central, the Boston Bruins invade the UC for a rematch of last year's Cup Finals. The game will be televised on NBC and the NBC Sports Network.
