Noel and Pearn Fired- Maurice Hired!

It happened today, or perhaps last night and news seeped out today via Darren Dreger that Claude Noel and assistant coach PErry Pearn had been let go.

This is the only the second coach in the history of Jets and Moose hockey to be fired mid-season under Chipman ownership.

So what happens now?

Who comes in to take over and is this the beggining of wholesale change? Those are tough questions to answer at the moment but there are a lot of thoughts. IF you follow me on

So now eyes turn to the players and the GM. They have to as Chevy has burned his first and maybe only, coach before he is held to account. Are trade winds blowing? They have to be and what we do know is that unless Paul Maurice is the proverbial "hockey whisperer" he's got his work cut out for him if Chevy and the rest expect a miracle turnaround and playoff appearance.

Best of luck to Calude and Pearn. For the former I can say I will miss him and his candid talkative nature. For Pearn I never held much regard for what he brought to the table.
