Some quick hits for Monday.
* Hearing the Avalanche continue to consider trading for JM Liles, but there is also a bigger possible deal involving the Avs and the Leafs in the works in light of Phaneuf's soon to be announced extensions...
* The Penguins are looking at a backup and many are saying the Pens could turn to Tim Thomas. It is an interesting possibility to say the least and makes a ton of sense. However, right now the Panthers are still very much in the hunt.
* There is growing speculation that Jagr will once again be a playoff rental and there is much talk this morning that the Canadiens would be way out front in that pursuit.
