Hearing there is progress toward the Boston Bruins getting Torey Krug and Reilly Smith under contract before the start of training camp.
It may come right down to the wire with one or both players.
Also, there's a host of teams with interest in Johnny Boychuk despite his UFA status next summer. However, despite their tight situation with the cap, the Bruins would prefer not to deal one of their defensive workhorses unless the deal brings back significant value beyond just cap relief.
