The Sabres have waived Pat Kaleta.
More to come...

Where in the world is Pat Kaleta?
The Sabres agitator is eligible to return to the lineup tonight

Braden Holtby had himself a crazy night in Philly on Friday night. En route to posting a 7-0 shutout of he lowly Philadelphia Flyers, the Capitals goalie got mugged and thugged by none other than Sugar Ray Emery.
Thanks, Capitals
Don't you love how the linesman stood by and did nothing to protect Holtby from the beating that he received?
Holtby certainly took one for the team.

It didn't take long for Thomas Vanek to form a bond with his new linies, John Tavares and Kyle Okposo.
Two games to be exact.
Vanek's blind, back-pass to John Tavares led to his first point as an Islander was a thing of beauty.
Vanek played his 600th regular-season game, his second with the Islanders since he was acquired in a trade with the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday night. Vanek earned his first point with the Islanders with a brilliant feed that set up Tavares' goal at 9:07 of the second period, which cut the Ottawa lead in half.
Vanek and the Islanders defeated the Senators 5-4 in the shootout.

You think the Sabre are the worst team in the East right now?
Have you seen the Philly Flyers lately?
Trailing the Washington Capitals by a touchdown on Friday night, Ray Emery and the woeful Flyers lost their cool and.
Thanks, CSNPhilly.com
The Flyers lost the game 7-0, and lost all respect for themselves and the game when and ugly line brawl erupted, featuring a goalie fight, if you can call it that. Capitals goalie Braden Holtby got his ass kicked by Ray Emery in a fight that Holtby tried to avoid. Talk about moronic and senseless acts of aggression. Emery needs to check himself. Flyers fans were heard through the TV chanting "FIRE HOLMGREN".
The Flyers have already fired head coach Peter Laviolette and replaced him with assistant coach Craig Berube. Now its time to start trading veterans away for youngsters and draft choices. This Flyers team is a mess right now. How the mighty have fallen.
