Jimmy Reviews What Was Possibly the Worst Game of All-Time (Coyotes)

Well, now, what to say about that?

The Coyotes were shut out for the seventh time this season.

That is not a typo: 7 as in the amount of beers you would have had to drink to have made last night's game enjoyable. (per period).

Seven times shutout. That is crazy. In contrast, the Calgary Flames once went an NHL record 264 games without being shutout.

To put it in perspective, the Coyotes haven't gone ten games in a row without being shut-out so far this season.

This is the second time they have lost 6-0 in the last three games.

Or to put it another way: they have been shutout in 18% of their games.

I feel like masochist watching this team. I think I'll have to come up with a safe word. It will be Eichel. I'll try to only use it during the really bad games, like last night.

If there is one thing funny about this game, it's that Martin Hanzal missed it and is listed as "day to day." I don't think the guy's been on the IR all year, but now that Capgeek is gone, I have no way to confirm the rumour that it's in his contract that he can't play three games in a row.

Look, I don't think it's funny he's hurt, just the listing of him as "day to day" because, let's be honest, Hanzal is permanently "day to day." Too bad too, because he's pretty much been the team's best player lately.

What else to tell you about? Vermette got a puck in the face, which I would have preferred to watching this giant steaming pile of garbage otherwise referred to as a hockey game.

In conclusion, I hope you missed the game. If Adam Sandler and Rob Schnieder teamed up to remake the Passion of the Christ, it would have still been better than this hockey game.

Eichel.
