6pm: Art Staple does not sleep on the job. According to Artie, Visnovsky will likely not play on Sunday leaving the possibility of Scott Mayfield making his NHL debut. Mayfield would be the fifth rookie defenseman to make his debut this season.
Should Kyle not be able to play on Sunday, John Persson may get the call. Once again, Bridgeport Sound Tigers will be playing on Long Island. Happens more over than not.
Thanks to Newsday's Art Staple who reports from Isles practice today at Iceworks that Kyle Okposo left practice within 20 minutes and Visnovsky was no where to be seen.
He then found out that Kyle, with a lower body injury, and Visnovsky, with an upper body injury, are now listed as day-to-day. The Isles play on Sunday afternoon for a family day with WNET characters. Maybe they will be available, but don't count on it. Count on seeing additional youngsters vying for a roster spot.
Also, it will be the final time the black third jerseys will be worn. Coincidentally, they will be 50% off at the Isles team store.
Also, if you are a STH, you will be getting a 30% discount on merchandise other than jerseys. If you are NOT a season ticket holder, you can still shop. Maybe that third jersey will become a collector's item.
