Don Cherry pulled no punches when he called Minnesota Wild forward Matt Cooke a "six time loser" earlier tonight.
I applaud Grapes for losing his mind over the flimsy seven game suspension verdict that the NHL handed down to Cooke earlier this week. What a pile of crap!
Grapes called Cooke a "six time loser" during his "Coach's Corner" segment on Saturday night.
No gripes or complaints from me. I feel like Cook skated with a slap on the wrist.
Thanks, CBC
I agree wholeheartedly with Grapes. I wanted Cooke banned for 15 games.
Cooke is a multi-time offender. He's more then earned his predator reputation by jamming opponents and inurying them when they are in vulnerable positions on the ice. It is a travesty that Cooke will be able to play again in the playoffs this season provided his Wild teammates can advance to the Western Conference Finals. Colorado D Tyson Barrie is looking at four months of rehab on his messed up knee.
How is it fair that a frequent offender like Cooke only gets a 7 game suspension?

Kids, kiss your hockey stick.
Is there a more under rated player in the 2014-15 playoffs than Columbus forward Boone Jenner? The kid has been on fire all season long and has upped his game in the first round series against Pittsburgh.
Boone scored his third goal of the series in the first period on Saturday night. Don Cherry shares Jenner's secret to hockey success.
