Goodbye California, Hello East Coast! (Eastern Conference)

When the Kings head East to take on the Flyers, Capitals, and Penguins starting this coming Monday, they will have at least this supportive fan in the crowd.

Yes, I am making the trek away from the beautiful 70-80 degree weather to head out to the still chilly and potentially slushy eastern time zone.

With limited time for blogging while out there I'll probably be checking in around Wednesday to give my thoughts and feelings on the two arenas I will be visiting. This will include opposing fans, surrounding areas, and of course the arena itself. So hey, if you see a couple of guys in Kings gear Philly, Pens, and Caps fans...be nice, it might be me! Also, if they are loud and obnoxious...it's not me. I plan on being as fine an opposing fan as can be. After all, we are all fans of the same sport right?

I'm really looking forward to it, and hopefully the games are solid! I am definitely going to be at the Flyers and Capitals games, but the Penguins one is still an on the fly decision. Regardless, I'll check back in during the coming week to post some pictures and include my thoughts on the aforementioned things.

Hopefully this trip will be worth about eight Davis Payne fist bumps.

Now let's hope the Kings can leave for the trip on the right foot. They take on the Florida Panthers tomorrow in a dreaded Saturday Afternoon game at Staples. In reality, the Kings are 4-1-1 in matinee games this season with losses coming to the Flyers and Bruins. Not bad.

Some Kings related reading in the meantime, the organization had plenty of NCAA prospects finish up strong years in the last few weeks. Check out the NCAA article posted on Hockey's Future.

That's all for now. Brief update I know. Next you hear from me I'll be dealing with the frigid cold temperatures. Oooooh 30's here I come. Of course, 30 is probably like a nice spring day given what our East Coast brethren have dealt with this year.
