Throughout NHL history, goal scorers have proven to be streaky people. They score goals in bunches, then go two or three weeks without scoring.

Geno Malkin entered Game 6 against the Columbus Blue Jackets zero for his last nine postseason contests in the goal scoring department.
And not a moment too soon, Geno slayed that dragon with three silver bullets through the heart.
And a one....
---and a two....
---- and a three.....
Thanks, NBCSN
The Penguins and Malkin struck fast and ran out to a 4-0 lead.
The Blue Jax made it interesting by scoring three goals of their own.
The Pens closed the show with a 4-3 win. The Blue Jax played exceptionally well in round one and impressed the hell out of me.
Now would be a great time for Sidney Crosby to light the lamp in the next round. He's waaaayyyy overdue.

Patrick Roy was hopeful that he'd be getting an injured thoroughbred back in his starting lineup for Game 6. The Avs get a huge infusion of talent and artistry tonight when Matt Duchene will make his return to the Colorado lineup.
Duchene hasn't played since March 29. He missed the final eight regular season games as well as Games 1-5 vs. the Minnesota Wild.
Duchene led the Avs in scoring in the regular season with 23 goals and 47 assists. He scored 5 PPGs and 6 GWGs.
The Avs sure could use more goal scoring in this first round series with Minnesota. They have scored a combined 14 goals in the first five games.
The Avs look to close out the series with a win in Minneapolis-St. Paul
