Game notes:

- After an average performance in a losing effort, Adam Larsson will sit in place of Eric Gelinas. If he wants to separate himself and remain in the lineup on a regular basis he'll need to be better than he has been this season.

- Mike Cammalleri had a few great scoring opportunities, but couldn't convert on any and didn't register a point against the Rangers. If he goes another couple games without producing I'd expect him to move back up to the top line with Travis Zajac and Jaromir Jagr.

- Both teams have good power plays and both teams have struggled mightily on the penalty kill thus far, so staying disciplined will be extremely important.

- Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn have combined for 18 points in six games after both of them went pointless in their first two games. They're about as good of a duo as you'll see, so you can expect Pete DeBoer to try and match the Zajac line and Greene-Severson pairing against them as much as he can.

- Jordin Tootoo hasn't been very good this year, and he'll miss the next two games with a lower-body injury. Jacob Josefson will play in his place, and if he performs he could very well solidify a roster spot for himself. On top of 4th line duties, I wouldn't be surprised to see him get some PK time.

- Cory Schneider has allowed 12 goals in his last three stars, and has a sub .900SV% in that span. Obviously it's not necessarily all his fault, but he has to be better.
