Finland Wins Gold at WJC (nhl)

On the final day of the 2014 World Junior Championship in Malmo, Sweden Finland defeated Sweden 3-2 in overtime to win the gold medal and become the fifth country in six years to claim the championship trophy.

Earlier in the day, Russia defeated Canada 2-1 to claim bronze and shut Canada out of a medal in back-to-back tournaments for the first time in 33 years.

This is a travel day for me back to the States, but I'll have some more fun tidbits for you later including my overall thoughts on this tournament. If you have particular questions, let me know. I'd be happy to answer them for you. For now, watch this great podcast I did with Craig Button about the tournament, and the state of U20 hockey in North America and the world.
