THE BUZZ
My fellow blogger, Jay Zawaski, had a good piece today on whether the Hawks-Canucks rivalry is dead.
In my opinion: Dead? No. But Dying? Yes. As long as the Sedins, Duncan Keith, and Alex Burrows are still around (and Burrows is out tonight), there's going to be some bad blood there.
But the bottom line in any rivalry is typically geography (not a factor here) or intense competition in the standings. the fact is, while the Hawks have remained at or near the upper echelon of the NHL, the Canucks have slipped.
