Frans Nielsen will be sidelined for at least four weeks with a broken hand suffered in Saturday's game against the Colorado Avalanche.
The injury occurring when Avs dman Erik Johnson slashed Nielsen as Frans was trying to get to a loose puck. The NHL deemed that this was a careless play on Johnson's part and suspended him for two games.
