The 2014 World Hockey Championships begin in just a few days, and it appears the Blue Jackets will be well represented.
While Columbus is coming off a disappointing series loss to the Penguins, a couple players on the team don't want their seasons to end just yet.
Artem Anisimov and Sergei Bobrovsky have agreed to play for Russia at the Worlds, which start May 9th.
Anisimov, who's coming off a 22-goal, 39-point campaign - figures to play a prominent role on Russia. With regular representatives like Pavel Datsyuk and Ilya Kovalchuk unable to play due to injury, and Evgeni Malkin still in the NHL playoffs, Anisimov will have the opportunity to shine playing in the top-6, and perhaps on the top line.
Meanwhile, Bobrovsky is expected to get the bulk of the starts for the Russians, coming off his second straight season with a .923 save percentage or better.
Anton Khudobin had a nice year and will likely get some playing time while Andrei Vasilevsky may get a start as well, but Bobrovsky should get the majority of the starts, especially once it gets to the elimination round.
