The Rochester Amerks beat Jake Allen, Ty Rattie and the Chicago Wolves 4-1 on Tuesday.
Alex Hutchings, Kevin Porter, Brayden McNabb and Colton Gillies scored for the Amerks, while Nathan Lieuwen made 18 saves in net for his third straight win and ninth of the season.
Johan Larsson added two assists, and Jamie Tardif and Nick Crawford also finished with points.
With their assists, Larsson and Tardif both extended personal scoring streaks to five games.
Adam Cracknell scored the lone goal for Chicago and Jake Allen stopped 18 shots in the loss.
The Wolves took a 1-0 lead just 15 seconds after the opening face-off when Ty Rattie broke into the Rochester zone two-on-one with Cracknell. Rattie delivered dart to Cracknell, who fired one past Lieuwen. It didn’t take long for the Amerks to respond. Just under five minutes later, Porter picked up a loose puck and skated in alone on Allen and buried his ninth goal of the season high into the net

The Rochester Amerks are playing at home tonight vs. the Chicago Wolves. On its surface it seems like just another ordinary AHL game.
When I peel back the layers of the proverbial artichoke, I find a tasty sub-plot or two.
This is only visit for Chicago to Rochester. The Wolves are the AHL affiliate of the NHL St. Louis.
Hmm. Baby Sabres playing the Blues' minor Notes.
Sabres. Blues. You don't think the two teams are up to something. Do you?
Nah.
Kevin Oklobjia of the Rochester D and C is on press row for the game tonight and reports that there are a bevy of scouts from at least 12 teams that have requested credentials from. Among the teams: Colorado, Edmonton, Dallas, Florida, NJ, and Philadelphia.
Very curious that the Blues have sent not one but two scouts to watch the game tonight.
Perhaps one is watching the Amerks players while the other is watching the Wolves players.
StL Blues obviously watching their players tonight but they have 2 scouts in town: Rob DiMaio & Tim Taylor (brother of #Amerks asst. Chris).
— Kevin Oklobzija (@kevinoDandC) January 29, 2014Interestingly, the Blues had a scout in Buffalo on Tuesday night. Its not uncommon for scouts to watch the Sabres one night then boogie down the eastbound I-90 to watch the Amerks play.
No, the NY Rangers aren't one of the teams scouting the Amerks-v-Wolves game tonight. However, NYR had a scout in Buffalo on Tuesday night. Minnesota was represented, too.
Nathan Lieuwen will battle Jake Allen.
Assuming the Blues trade one of their pending UFA goalies Jaro Halak or Brian Elliott, or both, Allen could be elevated to the Blues roster. He's done all he can in the minors and is more than ready to play in the NHL.
Oh, by the way, Blues top prospect Ty Rattie, he of the Ryan Miller trade rumors, is playing in Rochester tonight. The kid is a rock star. In AHL Chicago.his final season in junior hockey, Rattie scored 48 goals and added 62 assists last season for the Portland Winterhawks. He has scored 14 gals and added 10 assists in his first pro season in
