Blue Jackets Sign Oscar Dansk to Entry-Level Contract (Blue Jackets)

The Blue Jackets locked up a little bit of their future, signing goaltending prospect Oscar Dansk to a three-year entry-level contract.

The 20-year-old goaltender had a good regular season in Erie (OHL), posting a 29-9-1 record with a 2.39 goals against average and .909 save percentage before being taken over by 2014 draft eligible Devin Williams for the playoffs.

Even with the shaky playoffs in the three starts he had, I'd deem it a successful year, especially when you factor in the World Juniors.

As you may recall, Dansk stole the show posting a .928 save percentage and 1.79 goals against average in five starts while leading Team Sweden to a Silver Medal.

Dansk is a big, athletic goaltender with loads of potential, and he improved a lot over the last year. I've scouted him several times in the OHL, and I think he could be a starter in the NHL down the road.

It'll be a few years before we see him in Columbus, but I think he'll be worth the wait.
