Are We Excited Yet? Ducks and Hiller Win Again! (ducks)

The 2013-14 Anaheim Ducks season is turning into something more than just the celebration of 20 years of hockey in Disneyland's back yard. It's becoming a story so unbelievable not even Walt Disney himself could have dreamed it up.

Led by Jonas Hiller and a ridiculously packed and loud crowd, the Ducks survived another sluggish first period to take care of the Eastern Conferences best team, the Boston Bruins. In a game that some predict could be a Stanley Cup preview, the Ducks did not disappoint.

The Ducks were out shot 16-3 in the first period and 32-20 in the game and yet they skate away with their ninth straight home win. They also improve to a jaw-dropping 18-0-2 at the Honda Center, a franchise record of astronomical proportions.

The difference in the game was Hiller. The guy is unbelievable and had I not seen that save against Brad Marchand myself I would have never believed it. It's going to go down as one of the best save of the year. That save won the game for Anaheim. If Boston scores there I think they could have opened the flood gates. They almost clawed out of a 3-0 hole. Imagine if they had scored one or two in that first period?

I mean seriously, what? How the heck is this happening? The fans in Anaheim are going nuts. The building is electrified beyond what I have ever seen before. Between the game the other night and what happened on Tuesday night with Boston I can'tr help but think that this team is primed for a deep, deep playoff run.

get excited Ducks fans...this team is awesome.
