In case you missed it last night, here is the second episode of HBO's 24/7: Road to the Winter Classic...
According to The Score, that ban has continued this week which leaves me curious about how Episode 3 is going to pan out...especially when I thought all access was supposed to be all access...not all-access-except-when-we're-on-a-terrible-losing-streak.
That said, here are my Top Five Moments of Episode 2:
1) Pretty much any time Babcock speaks. He's such a great leader and was already on my list of people I'd like to have lunch with, but is moving his way closer to the top. Between telling Tatar not to hang his head and explaining how he makes player decisions and the passion with which he kicked the cameras out, he is, without question, the star of this series, whether he wants to be or not.
2) When Phaenuf and Crosby were talking with the refs, especially when Phaenuf accused him of a high hit and Crosby said, "I did not....I don't even hit anyone!" I'm sure that got a laugh from those that love to hate him...
3) When Carlyle pulled McClaren and Ranger aside during the morning skate and benched them. I am always curious as to how that conversation goes down.
4) Brendan Smith and Justin Abdelkader in the car on their way to the game...when they started ripping each other after the truck ahead of them did the slip'n'slide right off the road. Probably the only time I actually laughed the entire episode.
5) After Phaneuf and Kessel's ping pong battle, when Kessel said, "Don't 'good game' me. We're going again after [practice]." He doesn't always show it, but Kessel is super competitive and we saw a glimpse of it here.
