Here's to hoping your holiday was a peaceful and happy one..but guess what? For hockey fans the holiday is just now beginning. The World Juniors are underway and it comes in like a lion today with the matchup of the tournament about to get underway with Canada and USA renewing the best rivalry in hockey to kick things off.
This is always a tough tournament to predict and all eyes will be on Team USA's Auston Matthews today. Auston is already NHL ready but won't be drafted until this June in Buffalo. He has been tearing up the Swiss league playing with men, and it will be intriguing to see if he dominates playing against his own age in this tournament.
I have to admit to not being an expert on these young players. We had Russ Cohen on our podcast on Wednesday and he broke down this tournament in great detail...I will venture a prediction at the risk of....well it's only a prediction.
