Last Season Results: 10/17 Wild 1 @ Ducks 2 12/5 Ducks 5 @ Wild 4 3/13 Ducks 2 @ Wild 1
The Wild dropped all three meetings with the Ducks a year ago, but they just may be catching Anaheim at the right time. The Ducks have scored just 1 goal through their first four games on the young season.
The Ducks are a dangerous group and will be out to to prove they are in the elite of the NHL. Look for Devan Dubnyk to be back in the Wild net and Frederick Andersen for the Ducks.
Former Wild defenseman Clayton Stoner (lower body injury) is out as is Simon Despres (upper body injury). Desiree was injured on Friday when he was hit from behind by Avalanche defenseman Tyson Barrie (Barrie was suspended for 3 games for the hit).
The Ducks recalled defensemen Korbinian Holzer and Shea Theodore from San Diego, look for Holder to make his Ducks debut in for Despres.
The Wild lineup will remain the same as they used against the Kings with Dubnyk being the only exception.
The Wild look to stay hot on the powerplay having scored a man advantage goal in each of the first 4 games.
Zach Parise and his league leading 5 goals will be looking to extend his point streak to 5 games.
