It's bounce-back time for the Avalanche, who play that other Chicago team Thursday, the one that didn't need 108 years to win a championship.

Semyon Varlamov will start in goal, and defenseman Fedor Tyutin will replace Eric Gelinas on defense after missing four games because of a groin injury.
The Avalanche (4-4-0) are coming off a 5-1 home loss to Nashville, have lost three of their past four games, and four of six since opening the season with two wins.
They've had uncanny success at the United Center, winning five of the past six games there and seven of 10.
Varlamov, who's lost three starts in a row, has gone 8-1-1 in his past 10 decisions at the United Center. He has an 11-4-1 career record against the Blackhawks with three shutouts, a 2.12 goals-against average and .940 save percentage.
The Avalanche will need a big game from him against the Hawks (6-3-1), who are 5-1-1 at home and 4-0-1 in their past five overall.
Colorado also will need some offense from someone other than Matt Duchene, who has five goals and three assists in the past five games.
Nathan MacKinnon, Joe Colborne and Tyson Barrie have gone seven games without a goal; Gabriel Landeskog has gone six games without a goal; and Erik Johnson and Mikhail Grigorenko have yet to score a goal. This also would be a good time for rookie Mikko Rantanen to collect his first NHL goal and point.
Corey Crawford will be in goal for Chicago. He's allowed three goals in a personal three-game winning streak but hasn't fared so well against the Avalanche. He has a 6-9-2 career record against them with one shutout, a 2.89 goals-against average and .890 save percentage.
