SHARP
Continue to watch Montreal as the destination for Sharp, as sources out of two cities in Canada, and Chicago, say the Hawks and Montreal are getting closer.
BICKELL
As promised on my message board yesterday, here, I am told, is why there is little news on the Hawks moving their power forward.
Apparently, most if not all interested teams want Bickell’s knees cleared through a medical examination. And this, for whatever, reason, has not happened yet. I have heard from one NHL source that at least two Canadian teams would gladly take on the last two years of Bickell’s deal—if his knees check out.
SAAD AND KRUGER
According to a source, negotiations between all parties proceed amicably and new deals for either or both could be announced as soon as Wednesday.
CRAWFORD
An unknown Western Conference team is rumored to be inquiring about trading for both Sharp and goalie Corey Crawford, with the Hawks taking some salary (in the form of a veteran goalie back). I am told the Hawks are less likely to deal either or both in the West.
