So one of the more curious depth moves the Jets made yesterday was signing Brian Strait. You can look at his stats line HERE.
Why?
Well he's left side defence depth right?
He's also worse than Mark #stuuunorth.
He's also worse than Stuart.
He's also worse than Stuart.
Think about this for a minute or three or four or hours if need be...what does this bring to the Jets? I'm at a loss other than the ability to replace Stuart with a lesser version of himself.
Even Ben Chiarot, who struggled last season, rose above the mediocrity that is Stuart. Mediocrity being kind too.
I'm not sold on on this move in any way shape or form and wonder why the Jets would commit to this player in light of the glaring hole on the left side after Enstrom who is also aging too. I'm not convinced the Jets are done making moves and should they do something involving a trade as has been suggested I wonder if this is an insurance policy of some sort. Perhaps he's be part of the Moose and a call up no one would claim on waivers if he goes back and forth.
