Another impressive win for the Wild as the offense picked up where it left off versus the Canucks, lighting the lamp 5 more times tonight. The power play was 2 for 3 and the PK a perfect 2 for 2 including a couple near misses on the offensive end while on the kill.
Mikko Koivu had another big night with 2 goals and an assist giving him 3 goals and 4 assists in the last two games. Thomas Vanek continues to be a force offensively, with his tremendous vision and play making skills. Jason Pominville has looked much more confident after he finally got that first goal after the 21 game drought. His goal tonight made the difference and gave the Wild control of the game.
December has been a traditional down month for the Wild in the Mike Yeo era, but they are reversing that trend this year going 6-0-2 so far. The points bank is stocked with 40 points through 30 games, nothing to get overjoyed about, but something to certainly be pleased with. This team is very very good. Lots of work to do and more ups and downs to come as the calendar turns to 2016. Good win Wild, now on to Nashville Saturday night.
