It didn't happen during the final games of the regular season but today Kyle Connor, the Jets first round pick from the 2015 draft signed his professional deal with the Winnipeg Jets.
Excited to sign my first NHL contract. Looking forward to the next chapter of my hockey career #WinnipegJets pic.twitter.com/5IzEnI5mUw

As the Jets prepare to ask the tough questions of themselves and players answer the hard question from media the future may be a bit brighter today because of Connor's signing. The fact that he really didn't delay in moving forward to professional hockey shows that like Trouba and other players before him, he knows he's ready for the next challenge and that there is likely a spot for the talented forward on the Jets next season.
