As is an off season custom, many of the players take a couple of weeks off to rest, recover and get their heads straight before embarking on their grueling summer workout regimen. In Buffalo, a dozen or so players lift weights, ride the bikes, and workout at the First Niagara Center. On Monday, Sabres head coach Dan Bylsma met several of his players.
Sabres players are happy for the arrival of Bylsma in Buffalo.
Zemgus Girgensons says that it’s impressive that Bylsma has coached Sidney Crosby and Geno Malkin to a Stanley Cup championship.
Zach Bogosian is likes Bylsma’s defense first posture.
Brian Gionta likes that Bylsma is open to trying new formations and personnel groupings.
Pat Kaleta appreciates Bylsma’s ability to coach players young and old.
Nic Deslauriers says that he has to prove himself every day to his new head coach.
Thanks, Sabres.com
