Ok, so yes...It is now safe to say the Flames are up to something...Karri Ramo has cleared waivers because of his high salary...proving that the people who run the teams know better than I...I simply like Karri Ramo's game more than they do at this time. I know he has struggled mightily this year...but I still like his game.
The Flames pick up just less than a million in Cap relief..and then there is this rumor circulating...
The rumor is that the Blue Jackets, now coached by a man who loves/needs shot-blocking defenseman for his system to work, are talking to the Flames and Flyers about a pair of such players...
I am hearing the names of Dennis Wideman (e2) and Luke Schenn(e2) being connected with the Jackets..The Flames are looking for some help upfront...the Flyers trying to buy space for a "bigger play."(e4)
The Jets and Flyers talks continue I am told(e3)...the Flyers have also had discussions with Calgary and Anaheim.(e1)
The Maple Leafs have talked to Calgary about Bozak (e3)....but I still feel the better Bozak deal may lie elsewhere...
We will discuss all this and more on today's Buzzcast..
