Last night's game between USA and Canada was absolutely fantastic from an excitement point of view. There is no doubt about it. It was astonishing actually. That these teams would sacrifice all in an exhibition game was shocking. And yet the kinds of hits being thrown by Team USA...aka "Tort's Broadway Bullies" was in the least surprising, and to NHL owners....disturbing.

Speed kills right? The Penguins won with speed. You know what you do in the NHL when you can't skate with a team? History tells us you beat them up. It is so predictable. Team Canada is damn lucky Corey Perry was added at the last second because they simply don't have the type of players to play this kind of game. Where is Lucic?

And yes, we love this kind of game, but in an exhibition we almost saw three players, who make around $25 million combined, potentially get knocked out of the season....in an EXHIBITION game? Is Torts going to send Kesler after Ryan Murray and Brandon Saad?

This is how the USA needs to play to win and you can't blame them for it.

And yet, I can't help but feel that there is a lack of respect going on here....these players need to NOT kill each other or not only will they not be going to any more Olympics, but this tournament will be viewed as a disaster.....

Is this too dirty for what it is?

What do you think?

I put a twitter poll out there and so far 60% believe there isn't enough respect and this is too dirty....if these teams played for gold how many players would be lost for the season?
