Jack Eichel and Connor McDavid are one step closer to making their NHL debuts. The two generational players will officially become professional superstar players on Friday night when the NHL Draft commences in Sunrise, Florida.
Eichel and his Buffalo Sabres will play host to division rivals the Ottawa Senators on October 8.
Edmonton Oilers fans will have to wait until October 15 to give #97 the red carpet treatment when the St. Louis Blues skate into The City Of Champions.
The Chicago Blackhawks will raise another Stanley Cup banner to the rafters at the Madhouse On Madison on Wednesday, Oct. 7, when they play host to the New York Rangers in their home opener on the first night of the 2015-16 season.
There will be three other games on Oct. 7:
Toronto Maple Leafs and new coach Mike Babcock will host the Montreal Canadiens Los Angeles Kings will host the San Jose Sharks and new coach Peter DeBoer Calgary Flames will host the Vancouver Canucks, a rematch of a Western Conference First Round series of the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
