Just a quick update here as I am running around like a nut. I wanted to open a new thread for today's game. The Islanders are in Motown for an early start against the Red Wings. The team hopes to rebound after a sloppy loss against the Bruins Thursday night. There are a few changes in today's lineup as Lubomir Visnovsky has been activated off injured reserves and will replace Brian Strait in the lineup. Chad Johnson will finally get a start in goal as Jaroslav Halak cannot play every game for the remainder of the season. The Islanders will have to play a much crisper game today and if the team can play strong in front of Johnson they can come away with points.
Colin McDonald is up from Bridgeport and he may be in the lineup today. It will be a game time decision between McDonald and Casey Cizikas. Casey took a knock in the game against the Bruins and was given Friday off to recover. The fact that he could still play today tells me that this is not a serious injury.
