NEW YORK (Jan. 22, 2016) – Today’s game between the Anaheim Ducks and Washington Capitals at Verizon Center, NHL Game No. 704, has been postponed due to the severe snowstorm impacting the Washington, D.C., area.
A makeup date will be announced as soon as it can be confirmed.
A decision regarding Sunday’s Pittsburgh Penguins at Washington Capitals game at Verizon Center, NHL Game No. 720, will be announced Saturday morning.

Another storm of the century is upon us here in the Nations Capital as Snow Storm Jonas is on the verge of reeking immense havoc on the Mid-Atlantic region.
The Washington Capitals and the NHL have moved up tonights game against the Anaheim Ducks from 7pm to 5pm. The storm is said to begin about 4-5pm this evening and continue throughout the weekend.
Sunday's game against the Penguins, as of now, is still on for 12:30, but the Capitals, Penguins and NHL are all staying in touch with the local government in the event of a postponement or cancellation.
