The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed NCAA product Trevor Moore to a three-year entry-level deal.
The 21-year-old winger played three years with the University of Denver and scored 11 goals and 33 assists in 40 games last season.
Moore was very noticeable during the Leafs Rookie Development Camp earlier this month, playing with 2015 first rounder Mitch Marner and 2016 fourth round pick Adam Brooks. Moore scored once and assisted on both Marner goals in the Blue and White scrimmage on the final day of camp and earned a pro contract.
The Thousand Oaks, CA native grew up a fan of the San Jose Sharks and followed in the footsteps of California natives Matt Nieto and Beau Bennett.

With the deal, Moore should be in the mix for a spot on the AHL Toronto Marlies, as forwards William Nylander, Connor Brown, Nikita Soshnikov, Josh Leivo and Zach Hyman are expected to challenge for jobs in the NHL next season.

Two former Toronto defensemen get new deals on Tuesday.
Petter Granberg signs a two-year deal with the Nashville Predators. Granberg was claimed off of waivers by the Preds in November when the Leafs tried to send him down to the AHL after recovering from an offseason Achilles injury.
Scott Harrington signed a one-year deal for $632,500 with the Columbus Blue Jackets. The 23-year-old blueliner was acquired as part of the Phil Kessel deal last July and was sent to the Jackets in exchange for forward Kerby Rychel during the NHL Draft weekend.
