Keep it Positive MN (Wild)

Now that we have had a little time to digest the ending of the regular season, it is time to focus on the playoffs. For the Minnesota Wild that means focus on the Dallas Stars. Yes that Dallas Stars, the ones that used to be the Minnesota North Stars.

April 15th 1993 marked the final Minnesota North Stars game ever as Norm Green packed up and took the State of Hockey's North Stars to Dallas. Well nearly 23 years later to the day, the Minnesota Wild take on the Dallas Stars in their first ever playoff match-up.

The playoffs are a new season and records are thrown out. Anything can happen, teams get hot, ride the hot goalie, get a few breaks, and who knows upsets happen. This one though needs the backing of the State of Hockey faithful to be the extra man. Time to remember just how mad everyone was when the unthinkable happened 23 years ago.

The Wild will begin things on the road in Dallas on Thursday night, in hopes of getting at least a split of the two games in Texas. Then a trip back to the State of Hockey where things need to be raucous and loud. This is The State of Hockey and the opponent is the Dallas Stars. That in itself should be enough to make the fans blood boil. The time is now for the fans here to make the Xcel a tough place for any team to play and none more than those Dallas Stars.

This is hockey country! How did the State of Hockey lose it's NHL franchise to Texas of all places? If that doesn't make you mad I don't know what does.

Keep it positive!!!
