I'm not going to wax poetic about busting slumps or the need for perspective amongst a frustrated fan base. It should be obvious the Jets are what they are, yes that's a Captain Obvious statement.
With Enstrom having to leave the team to attend to a family issue in Sweden the Jets need something special to overcome the very strong at home Predators. However, for the fans things are troubling and really it should not be. Here is a series of Tweets I put out about this. I'll leave you with these thoughts as opposed to writing it all out again.
1. You've probably noticed I haven't tweeted much about Jets play/issues lately, or written much
— Peter Tessier (@Teddier) November 25, 2016
2. It seems like much of the attentions the team gets is riding the highs and lows for current perspective. I don't think that's correct
— Peter Tessier (@Teddier) November 25, 2016
3. We're at 22 games played and if you look at the record it really does speak for itself. Look at wins & losses and to whom
— Peter Tessier (@Teddier) November 25, 2016
4. This is a group that is growing and having the struggles that come with it- but it's the best group this franchise has had.
— Peter Tessier (@Teddier) November 25, 2016
5. Why it took 6 years, roster management, line combos and such are all different topics. That are part of picture but not one is complete
— Peter Tessier (@Teddier) November 25, 2016
6. We can micro-analyze every issue on the Jets, some will do so but don't forget the big picture. Show me one team that had success fast?
— Peter Tessier (@Teddier) November 25, 2016
7. Point here is lots could have been done differently but it wasn't- need to let go and start looking at current state. Smart analysis....
— Peter Tessier (@Teddier) November 25, 2016
8... But with a vision to whole picture. There are things to be critical about but criticize to what can be changed not the past.
— Peter Tessier (@Teddier) November 25, 2016
9. Be a realist, pragmatic about what is happening and understand that many variables affect change. Change is one thing most orgs....
— Peter Tessier (@Teddier) November 25, 2016
10. Struggle with in any facet. Jets will too and are now but the current struggle is from a position of strength not desperation
— Peter Tessier (@Teddier) November 25, 2016
11. That's the optimist view. The pessimistic view is does past moves mean more of the same in future? As season unfolds I'd expect a lot...
— Peter Tessier (@Teddier) November 25, 2016
12. More to happen that will give everyone something to talk, write analyze and criticize but it will be action, not inaction. Thx #out

There you have it. Time for fans to look at big picture when looking at team and results when comparing to expectations. Discuss the things that can be done to affect results, criticize and suggest contrary options but don't lose sight of the big picture here.
