The Islanders have signed forward P.A. Parenteau to a one-year, $1.25M deal. The 33-year-old scored 20 goals and 21 assists with the Toronto Maple Leafs last season.
Parenteau played with the Islanders from 2010-12, scoring 38 goals and 82 assists. This is a good signing by Snow. It's another low-risk, high-reward signing. He is a placeholder as Snow will look to the trade market for another top-six forward. It also means that Brock Nelson or Ryan Strome could be on the move.
