With a few days in-between games here are some news and notes surrounding the team.
Beau Bennett has resumed skating again. We also know the source of his injury
Bennett said he got injured celebrating his goal against Montreal. "That’s just unlucky." Joked he'll keep his arms down from now on. -MC

Eric Fehr has been ramping up his on-ice activities the past few days. When can we expect his return?

Eric Fehr has been the somewhat forgotten addition to this Penguins team but he will play an important role in how flexible Mike Johnston can be with his forward lineup. Fehr is capable of playing solid third line minutes as a center or right wing and is also able to jump up to top six duty as a right winger if either Phil Kessel or Patric Hornqvist were to miss any time.
To make room for these two potential returns the Penguins have placed Bobby Farnham on waivers. If he clears waivers he will be re-assigned to the WB/S Penguins.
Bobby Farnham has a team low Score-Adjusted Fenwick of 34.08% which is really poor. In fact it ranks 588th out of 604 NHL players this year.
The Penguins would do well to not see Bobby Farnham again in an NHL sweater. This means that they will have had good health and more competent players in the lineup.
Brian Rust has an injury and it appears it will keep him out of action for a chunk of time.
“’Rusty’ is going to be out,… Johnston said. “We haven’t determined a timeline on it, but he’s going to be out and it’s not going to be day-to-day. I should have a better timeline probably in the next day or two.…
It was the result of a shot block.
Pittsburgh has a few more days to figure out how to not allow Alex Ovechkin to tee up bombs from the left circle on Wednesday night.
