Meandering toward the playoffs is maybe the best way to describe the Blackhawks right now. Dealing with injuries, a likely suspension, "illnesses" that could be kinda sorta maybe rest days for veteran players.
It appears Christian Ehrhoff may have played his way into the doghouse again, in spite of the likely absence of Duncan Keith tonight. Brent Seabrook and Artem Anisimov are back in the lineup; Marian Hossa out (illness).
This is a game the Hawks would like to win tonight. They need the points to solidify playoff position and they need to play well to regain some psychology.
Duncan Keith has waived his right to an in-peron hearing for the stick swinging incident the other night in St. Paul; I am expecting about a five-game suspension to be levied this afternoon when he has the hearing by phone, but that's just a hunch.
