The Blackhawks need to play well tonight. If for no other reason than feeling good about themselves going into the playoffs. By now, most of the civilized world knows that the Hawks will definitely be playing Nashville when the playoffs start. So there you go.
Michael Paliotta starts for the Hawks tonight, making his NHL debut. Former Vermont Catamount Paliotta is big and physical, and it should be fun to see what might be in store with him.
Brad Richards and Kimmo Timonen did not make the trip—both are skating in Chicago along with Patrick Kane.
