Some Friday afternoon dealing going on between Arizona, Montreal and Nashville.
The Coyotes and Preds swapped minor league defensemen in Stefan Elliott for Victor Bartley and then Bartley and Pacific Division All-Star captain John Scott get shipped to the Habs for Tinordi.
Tinordi played only three NHL games with the Canadiens this season and has been a healthy scratch for the rest of the first half, since he would have to clear waivers to be sent to the AHL.

We picked a panel of six former NHL players, coaches and general managers — Craig Button (Boston Bruins), Eddie Olczyk (Chicago Blackhawks), Doug MacLean (Detroit Red Wings), Pierre McGuire (Montreal Canadiens), Tom Laidlaw (New York Rangers) and Neil Smith (Toronto Maple Leafs) — to use today's players to fill up the rosters of our new six-team league.
So of course I couldn't leave it there! We needed to see how these teams would actually do against each other, so I put the players into NHL 16 and I am simulating a tournament that will see each team play each other twice and the top 4 make the playoffs…
