Who wants to stay up late to watch some west coast hockey tonight? It is a truly awful feeling when you stay up till 1AM and your team losses but if we are looking for silver linings, the Islanders have had some good west coast trips in recent history. Granted the team wasn't this bad through a quarter of a season. Will this trip galvanize the group and can they put some wins together? Or does this team continue to smell like low tide and do they limp back to Brooklyn thinking about the 2017 entry draft?
The team announced its’ lines tonight and guess what, they are different yet again. Nikolay Kulemin will play with Brock Nelson and Ryan Strome. Alan Quine will center Anders Lee and Jason Chimera. Andrew Ladd will join Cal Clutterbuck and Casey Cizikas on the fourth line and Anthony Beauvillier will line up with John Tavares and Josh Bailey because why the hell not. Thomas Greiss returns from his stint in witness protection and will be between the pipes. J.F. Berube season ticket moves from the press box to the bench as Greiss’ backup. At least the team upgraded his seats.
