Less than a week after being blanked by the Los Angeles Kings the Calgary Flames get to try their hand again tonight on home soil.
The Flames enter tonight's game feeling pretty good about themselves following a 5-0 beat down over the Edmonton Oilers. As for the Kings they will be looking to rebound from a disappointing loss last night against a terrible Vancouver team.
Though the Kings are fatigued they are much better than the Flames, obviously, and have a lot to play for being just one point back of 1st in the Pacific. They simply can't afford to leave points on the table if they wish to pass the Ducks, especially with so few games remaining, so they will surely put their best foot forward in this one.
Perhaps the Flames can play spoiler.

Notes
1) Sean Monahan is playing some exceptional hockey right now as he has tallied 14 points and 38(!) scoring chances over his last 11 games. He's going to be very, very rich in a few months.
2) Since March 15th only four teams have allowed more 5 v 5 goals than the Flames while the Kings rank 3rd in 5 v 5 goals for during that span.
3) Joe Colborne has quietly tallied 12 points in his last 11 games and is just one point shy of 40 on the year. He may very well be playing his way into a multi-year contract extension with the Flames.
