G27 New Jersey Devils vs Florida Panthers: Stop The Surge (NHL)

After a bit of a rough patch the New Jersey Devils have seemingly found their game again having recorded points in four of five.

On Friday night the Devils suffered a disappointing OT loss to one of their biggest rivals in the Flyers and will be looking to rebound tonight on home soil.

They'll host a Florida Panthers team that is as hot as anyone. Entering this game the Panthers have won five straight and seven of 10.

They are powered by a balanced offense, Aaron Ekblad's brilliance, and excellent goaltending. That's a good recipe for success.

The Panthers aren't without holes (or injuries) but they've split up some duos and defensive pairings to balance their lineup and to this point it has worked.

We'll see if that's the case tonight.

WHAT TO WATCH 1) Mike Cammalleri is scorching hot of late having recorded 14 points in his last 10 games. The Cammalleri - Henrique - Stempniak line has been excellent all season but especially so over the last few weeks. I'm curious to see who they match up against as the Panthers don't currently have a true top pairing with Brian Campbell and Aaron Ekblad split up.

2) Roberto Luongo has started 20 games and owns a .928 save percentage. Cory Schneider has a .924SV% through 21 starts. It's probably safe to expect a goaltending duel in this one.

3) Both teams are clicking at better than 20% on the power play and rank top-10 in that regard. Discipline will be especially important for both teams.

The game is at 7 eastern and can be seen on MSG+, FS-Florida.
