The Buffalo Sabres were dealt more injury news on Thursday morning.
Defenseman Zach Bogosian will miss "weeks" with a Grade 1 or 2 MCL injury.

Bogosian joins Jack Eichel and Evander Kane on the Buffalo injury list.
Bogosian had been skating 19 minutes TOI per game and was recently paired with Dmitry Kulikov on Buffalo's second D pair. Bogosian will be replaced tonight by rookie righty Casey Nelson.
Eichel is still sidelined with a high ankle sprain. Eichel suffered his injury with eight minutes remaining in a practice drill the day before the season opener. There is no timetable for his return. The high ankle sprain tends to be a 6-8 week injury recovery time. Sabres fans continue to cross their fingers for an early Eichel return to the lineup.
Kane cracked his ribs in a violent collision with the end wall during the Buffalo-Montreal season opener.

Sabres GM Tim Murray gave updates on all three players and their injuries during a WGR readio appearance ahead of teh Sabres-Maple Leafs tilt.
Bogosian is "weeks" with his injury.
Eichel is out of his walking boot and is no longer using his knee scooter. He is in an air cast right now. Eichel has not suffered any setbacks in his recovery. Murray would not speculate nor would he give a timetable for return. Murray called Eichel's ailment a "tough injury" and would only say that Eichel is pain free right now and is on schedule in terms of his recovery.
Kane's return to the lineuop could happen sooner than later. In fact, Murray said that Kane said tolday that he is feeling better and would like to play tonight. A surprised Murray said that Kane is not in th elineupo tonight,however, he said that if Kane continues to make strides he could be back in teh lineup next week. Murray would not rule out a Kanbe return for games next week saying that EK9 wikll have to clear he physical battle testing before he is given the green light to play again.
The Kane news is very encouraging considering he was expected to be sidelined until at least the end of November, if not longer.

The Aneheim Ducks have sent their director of player personnel to Buffalo for tonight's Sabres-Leafs game.
The Sabres are down to six NHL D after the Bogosian injury news. Tim Murray can back fill the roster with Rochester call ups like Justin Faulk.
Murray also has two emergency call ups that he can use to promote Brendan Guhle from juniors.
Is there a Cam Fowler angle to the Ducks flying eastward to Buffalo?
Perhaps there is a Shea Theodore angle.
