There’s no small amount of dislike between these two foes of the most recent Western Conference Final—a series the Ducks had a strangehold on before losing Game 7 on home ice.
Thus far this season, both teams have struggled to varying degrees. The Blackhawks are coming off a convincing 1-0 win over the Lightning. The Ducks are really struggling to score goals. They were shutout 3-0 Saturday in Minnesota. Look for Anaheim to try to get pucks and their big forwards deep and try to use their size and creativity to manufacture opportunities versus 2-3 inexperienced Chicago defenders.
