Quick hit on a VERY interesting day...
First off...
I am hearing the Jets are not likely to wait until the trade deadline to decide on Byfuglien...they may still wait that long on Ladd.. The Devils, Sabres, Flyers, Bruins and Canadiens are all looking at Byfuglien, but I have also heard the Stars and Ducks may make big pitches as well. The question there is of course "How badly do the Jets want him out of their conference?"
On Stamkos...
I have been following up on this lead for about a week now, but I am confident now that we can add the NY Islanders to the list of frontrunners should Stamkos become available. The Leafs and Senators are also on that list...I hear mixed opinions on Calgary possibly getting in on Stamkos and there is at least one source I really trust who believes the Blues will be a major player...There won't be a shortage of suitors..
However, the Islanders.....really watch for the Islanders...
